Flowers of Caucasus mountains in May 11 - 18, 2012
Western end of Causcasus range-Turkey's Eastern Black Sea Mountains with snowy peaks and green valleys provide gorgeus landscape. Scarlet or orange-red Tulipa julia and the Tulipa armena subspecies kurdica made home many high passes. Purplish pink, cup-shaped Fritillaria alburyana, dark purplish brown, bell-shaped Fritillaria caucasica and many hybrids of them follow the melting snow. Pulsatilla albana encounter us in many different colours than usual. Tchihatchewia isatidea is the stranger in Cress family with its unusual habit. Worm yellow Caltha will decorating the springs. The species of Gentian, Scilla, Ornithogalum, Ranunculus, Bellevalia, Androsace, Muscari, Drab, Cerastium, Gagea... species will always be on our way to paradise.
